Red Bull Campus Cricket Championship Series Schedule 2013
The second Red Bull Campus Cricket World Series Championship 2013 will be played at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo, from April 2 to 6. This year fnials is expected to be bigger and better than ever with the participation of six international sides. Among them are campus teams from Australia, England, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and hosts Sri Lanka.
The tournament, which begins on Tuesday, will span a period of five days played as two double headers. Two games will be played during the day while two games will be played under lights on a daily basis.
According to the tournament structure, the six participating teams will be divided into two groups of three with each team getting to play the other twice during the group stage from April 2 to 4. The top two sides of each group will proceed to the semi-finals, which will be played on April 5 with the winners set to clash in the final on April 6.
The Red Bull Campus Cricket is the world’s one and only International University League Cricket championship played in accordance with ICC standards. Entrance for spectators will be free on all days.
